you touch down on what is affectionately known as ‘Fiji time’. The warm melody of “Bula”, a song of genuine
hospitality, greets you from one of our welcome staff, awaiting to guide you and your family to your domestic flight
with Fiji Airways to the shores of Vanua Levu. Your destination adventure, on the second largest island in Fiji, is the
charming sailing town of Savusavu, inviting you to step back in time into the authentic essence of Fiji.

With direct flights from USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan, you are invited on a journey to an eco-conscious place of natural beauty and azure waters – a paradise to discover vibrant coral reefs with our resident marine biologist, explore verdant rainforests, and forge connections with our local culture.

Fiji Airways ~ 1 hr
Accessible within a one hour scentic flight from Nadi International Airport via Fiji Airways, this renowned luxury
destination beckons a journey of discovery. The resort provides complimentary transfers between Savusavu Airport and
the resort in our air-conditioned vehicles. Our driver will be waiting for you to take you on the 20 minute shoreline
drive to the resort.

Alternatively, guests can choose to fly from Nadi to Labasa Airport. The road journey from Labasa Airport to Savusavu
takes about 90 minutes and offers some spectacular mountain views along the way. Vechile transfer to the resort can
be arranged for a small fee.

CHECK-IN
Check-in  time is at 2.00 pm.
Every effort is made to check guests into their Bure earlier. If a bure is not available for early check-in, your luggage can be stored in the meantime until your bure is available. You will be able to enjoy a delicious complimentary  breakfast or lunch while you wait.

CHECK-OUT
Check-out time is 11.00am.
Late check-out is complimentary whenever possible.

DOMESTIC FLIGHT DEPARTURE CONFIRMATIONS
We will reconfirm your domestic flight schedule 24hrs prior to departure and again two hours prior to departure and will advise you if there are any changes. We are not responsible for the airline services, but our reception staff, communicate on a regular basis with the local airlines for up to date flight information.  Check in at Nadi International Airport is two hours prior to departure for International flights.

NADI LAYOVER HOTELS
If your layover is a few hours and you may wish to stay at one of the hotels close to Nadi Airport such as the Raffles Gateway Hotel or Novotel Airport Hotel. If your layover is longer or over-night the Sofitel and Hilton are located in Denarau, about 20 minutes by taxi from Nadi Airport.

WEATHER
You can expect warm temperatures between 24-30 °C (75-85 °F) with some humidity during the day and 21-26° C (70-80 °F) at night. The resort is located on a point and receives cool ocean breezes most of the year. In your bure you will find wall to-wall louvered windows that allow you to take advantage of these balmy breezes. Fiji is located in the tropics, so there is the possibility of occasional short rain showers. Because Fiji is close to the equator there is little variation in the seasons, although the “summer” months of December through March are known to have slightly more rain and humidity.

CURRENCY
It is a good idea to have some Fijian CASH Money on hand. You can obtain Fiji Dollars at Nadi International Airport.
Most places in Fiji accept major credit cards. (VISA, MasterCard, American Express).

DOCUMENTATION
A passport valid for 6 months past the return date from Fiji and outbound tickets from Fiji are required. Visas are granted upon arrival for visitors from Australia, New Zealand, North America, Europe, UK, China, Singapore. Please check visa requirements for all other nationalities.
