RATES

Rates are applicable to FIT arrivals. All group arrivals will be subject to separate quotes.

ALL RATES INCLUDE –

Meet and greet at Nadi & Savusavu Domestic Airport, individual bure accommodation, all a la carte meals, – a la carte breakfast, gourmet lunch & dinner daily, adult & children’s menus, can soft drinks, iced tea & coffee, specialty loose-leaf teas, espresso coffees, afternoon tea, most resort activities including 5 off site excursions scheduled on a weekly basis, boat snorkel trips with resident marine biologist, snorkelling equipment, Wi-Fi & return vehicle transfers from Savusavu Airport to the resort. Daily Bula Club for children, 830am – 9pm, Fijian buddy for children 6-12 yrs on a maximum 1-5 ratio and an exclusive nanny daily from 830am – 630pm for each child under 6yrs at time of travel, plus one dedicated nanny per bure from 630pm – 9pm. Teenagers have a dedicated activities staff member 830am – 6pm. complimentary laundry service. 

SPECIAL ACTIVITIES (chargeable)

Spa and massage treatments, scuba diving, scuba equipment, pier dinner, private island escape with gourmet picnic, visit to pearl farm in harbour, guided kayak trips to interior of Vanua Levu, private beachfront bure dining, Salt Lake kayak tour, & deep-sea fishing.

GOVERNMENT TAXES

The rates are quoted inclusive of Fiji Government VAT tax 15%. Should the Fiji Government change the tax rates, Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort, Fiji will amend the tax rates charged to reflect the new level. Guests may be subject to additional payment due to tax increases however this is unlikely.

MINIMUM STAY

The minimum stay at the resort is between three to five nights total, depending on the time of the year.

CHILD POLICY

Children are welcome year-round in all bure types – Gardenview Bures, Oceanfront Bures, Oceanfront 2-Bedroom Bures, Deluxe Oceanfront 2 Bedroom Bures, Oceanfront Point Reef Bures, Oceanfront Point Reef Spa Tub Bure & Premier Oceanfront 2 Bedroom Pool & Spa Tub Villa. Children under 6 years in the Villa are accommodated on a request basis only. Please contact our Reservations Office for authorization. The resort has 4 swimming pools. (1) The Oceanfront horizon-edge Serenity Pool is designated for adults only and teenagers 13 years and older. (2) Family pool with water slide and day bed pavilion. This facility is located alongside the Bula Club and caters to both adults and children alike. (3) Bula Club pool with waterslide. This facility is located within the Bula Club area and is dedicated for children age 6 and younger. (4) Cascading Water Mushroom Shallow Toddlers Pool which is located within the Bula Club. Infants are not free – Children’s rates apply from 0-12 yrs inclusive

ADULT ONLY DESIGNATED AREAS

At Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort Fiji the Oceanfront Infinity Pool is for adults only. No children under 13 years are permitted in the pool or on day beds surrounding the adults-only pool. There is also a separate adults-only dining area, with no children under 13 years being permitted in this area. The same menu is provided in the family and adults-only dining areas. This is to ensure that all of our guests, whether they be travelling with children or not, are able to enjoy their stay at Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort to the fullest.

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT

Check-in time: 2:00 pm Check-out time: 11:00 am As check-in time is 2:00 pm, the early occupancy of a bure is not guaranteed. To guarantee early morning check – in, accommodation must be reserved one night prior to arrival. We will make effort to check in guests, as early as possible if they have not reserved for the night prior to arrival. A late check-out is subject to availability of the bure number/type on day of departure.

GUEST RESPONSIBILITY:

Please be advised that the resort will not accept any responsibility for any guest loss or damage to personal equipment and property, or any injuries sustained during their stay with us or while participating in activities. Guests are required to follow any directions that may be given while staying at the resort or participating in activities. Guests are required to sign indemnity release form at check-in. The resort will not accept any responsibility for any delay, additional expense or inconvenience that may be caused directly or indirectly by events outside the resort’s control – i.e., late arrival/departure of flights, civil disturbance, fire, floods, cyclones, severe weather, acts of God, acts of Government, or machinery or equipment failure. Guests must sign a waiver form when children under the age of 6 years are accommodated in the Villa.

ROOM DESCRIPTIONS

Designed in an environmentally friendly style, the individual one – and two-bedroom bures are constructed of local timbers, have high temple ceilings, thatched roof, contemporary furnishings and extensive decks which afford great outdoor relaxation space. There is complimentary wireless reception in all bure types. There are no telephones or televisions in the bures, except for the Villa, which has telephone connections. Mobile phone reception (subject to guests having International roaming) is available in all the bures. All bures are elevated to take advantage of the views and sea breezes. They have Vesi timber floors, wall to wall wooden-louvered, screened windows which provide excellent ventilation. All bures have one king bed, single day bed, overhead fans, standing fan, private deck, writing desk, beach baskets, robes, French press coffeemaker, iron & ironing board and hair dryer. Beach towels are provided free of charge. The bathrooms feature warm Italian tile surfaces, large double vanity, generous storage space and a separate shower. There is also a mini-bar stocked with complimentary can soft drinks & filtered water in each bure. (Beach towels are available at the pool area.)

Oceanfront Point Reef Bures (5) 1 King bed on upper level, 2 single day beds & rollaway on lower level 2 bedroom. Deluxe Oceanfront 2 Bedroom Bures (6) 1 King bed, 1 single bed in main room & 1 King zip in 2nd room & one rollaway bed if required. Oceanfront 2-Bedroom Bures (6) 1 King bed , 1 single bed in main room, 1 King zip in 2nd bedroom. Oceanfront Bures (4) I King bed, 1 single bed & one rollaway bed if required. Gardenview Bures (4) I King bed, 1 single bed & one rollaway bed if required, Bookings for families beyond this stated capacity are subject to special approval, and over-capacity cannot be guaranteed.

RESORT COMMUNICATIONS

Internet services, e-mail, domestic and international telephone calls are available in the Communications office. Domestic and International telephone calls and scan and email services are chargeable to the guest. Complimentary wireless network is available in lounge, office & bure areas. There is mobile phone reception for mobile phones at the resort provided guests have International roaming on their phones. The Villa has mobile & internet access.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

The resort recommends that clients have comprehensive Travel Insurance for the duration of their trip.

All reservations must include: Surname & first name of each client as per their passport Country of origin of passengers Name of – Travel Agency who made the reservation (for our incentive purposes only). International arrival & departure flight details into Nadi & Pre-& Post accommodation details Domestic arrival & departure details into and out of Savusavu. Event celebration if applicable- e.g. Honeymoon, An Anniversary Please note you will not be met by our Jean-Michel Cousteau Fiji Islands Resort representative without advice of arrival flights.

Reservation requests will be confirmed or declined within 24 hours of receipt. Reservations will be confirmed as a “Confirmation/Invoice,” so that the confirmation will also serve as an invoice for the contracted rate. The Confirmation/Invoice will also request country of origin of booking, arrival & departure details of international and domestic flights & travel agency name if this has not already been made available. Exceptions to this policy must be in writing and signed by both parties.

RESERVATIONS & POLICIES

All bookings aside from instant web bookings are on a request basis only.

PAYMENT:

Booking Fee:

The resort will require a non- refundable booking fee of FJD1500 at the time of booking. On receipt of payment of the non- refundable booking fee, you will be deemed to have accepted our terms and conditions. The booking fee will be deducted from the final payment due.

BALANCE:

The balance of the payment is due 45 days prior to the scheduled arrival date. Bookings confirmed within 45 days of arrival must be fully pre-paid by 30 days prior to arrival. Any other arrangements regarding payment procedures must be agreed to in writing by the Jean-Michel Cousteau Fiji Resort. We reserve the right to change the method/currency of payment at any time. If pre-payment has not been received prior to guest arrival, Jean-Michel Cousteau Fiji Resort reserves the right to collect final payment, unless prior arrangement is made directly with the resort.

CANCELLATIONS:

Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort reserves the right to amend cancellation conditions due to unprecedented events/acts of god.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Cancel more than 45 days prior to arrival: guests will forfeit the initial FJD$1500 per bure booking fee. Alternatively, guests can choose to re-book dates for up to one year from original travel date. The booking fee amount of FJD$1500 will be held in credit for the future booking. Rates applicable at time of travel will be applied for the re-booking. Cancel between 45 and 30 days prior to arrival: penalty is 50% of accommodations reserved. Cancel less than 30 days prior to arrival: penalty is 100% of accommodations reserved. There is no refund for early departures or for no shows.

DAYS NOT USED:

No refund will be given for no-shows or days not used resulting from late arrival or premature departure

CHANGES TO FIJI GOVERNMENT TAXES:

Please note that full payment does not guarantee against any increase in Fiji Government VAT or other applicable taxes.

RIGHT TO CANCEL CONTRACT

The resort reserved the right to cancel the contract.
